100K to 120K took 17 days. At the last weigh-in I said I wanted to pick up the pace again going into the second half of the year. Technically I did, but I went from 18 days during the holiday season to 17 days for the last 20K. I've been having a few too many days where I either come up with excuses not to exercise, or overeat a little bit on junk food.
Weigh-in result: 226.6 lbs.
That's 4.6 pounds lost since the last weigh-in. As I mentioned, I've had a lot of different days without exercise, or without really sticking to the diet very well. Today's going to be one of them as you'll see below. So the weight loss is really good to see, but I'm a little concerned I'm starting to get sloppy. It's not necessarily going to improve dramatically in the short term (as I'm hoping to make a few meals that are a little higher in calories going forward) but I'm hoping I can get a little bit more on track once I get past the next few days.
One weird concern that's started becoming an issue is that I'm beginning to worry that I'm exercising too much. Not because I'm in any danger of hurting myself, simply because it's using up a lot of my free time. It's harder to find some time to do stuff. Stupid I know, but still an issue to think about for the future. Finding a better balance is important.
Today I made my first batch of sourdough. The flavor came out perfect, but I don't think I let the dough rise enough as the rolls I made were a little denser than I wanted. Breakfast/lunch were a couple of those rolls (500 calories combined). Dinner's where things went off track. I made a steak and cheese sandwich, and bought a bag of chips as a side/snack for the football game. Unfortunately I didn't pay too much attention to how many I was eating and ended up eating most of the bag. Dinner ended up being very high as a result (800 for the sandwich, 1500 for the chips probably). I did get to the gym for an hour, so I at least have that as a way to score points (849 calories).
