Day 86

A new form of exercise, when you've never done it before, always seems to take more out of you than you'd expect.  Kickboxing is no exception.  I was at least mildly sore the whole day, and I ended up treating myself to a little extra food as treatment for that.  On the other hand, it was the good kind of sore, when you know you've worked out and actually accomplished something.  A day later I think I will plan to try kickboxing again, though I'm not sure precisely when.

Weirdly, what ended up making me feel better was going for a run at the gym.  I did my usual Friday trip to the gym and got on the treadmill for most of an hour.  I was tired at the end, but my muscles seem to be a little less sore.  Hopefully I'm still saying that tomorrow.

Food today:  egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast (300 calories), PB&J for lunch but I also had a couple slices of pizza (1000 calories total), snack was a granola bar (70 calories) and dinner was some of the lasagna I saved from my last batch with some garlic toast (1000 calories).  Exercise was a lunchtime walk (100 calories) and 55 minutes on the treadmill (757 calories).
