I had a few comments from people today that I might need some new clothing. Admittedly I was wearing some older clothes (in particular a 3XL shirt), but it was still nice to hear. Of course it begs the question as to when I should actually go out and start replacing my wardrobe. As I see it I've got a couple choices. The first is to go out short term and get some stuff now. Theoretically then I'd have stuff that fit better now, but would be loose in a couple months when the diet ends (assuming I don't plateau between now and then). The second is to wait the two more months or so until the diet's officially complete. At that point the goal is going to be to maintain the weight loss, and so while the clothes might get a little looser it shouldn't be too bad.
Not really sure what the right answer is, but it's something to think about this week anyway. Food today: egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast (300 calories), PB&J for lunch (600 calories), snacks included some pieces of candy and a sourdough roll at home (350 calories total), dinner was steak, noodles and green beans (1000 calories). Exercise was an hour on an elliptical machine (the treadmills were all being used) and a walk at lunchtime (655 and 100 calories respectively).
