Day 129

Today was the second training session for Team Challenge.  This week we stretched the time out to 45 minutes and I still managed to run the whole way at a very good clip.  If you're interested here's today's run:

What's really nice is that I completed this run at a pace of 5.5 mph.  That's important since my goal this year is to finish the half-marathon in 2 hours and 45 minutes.  In order to do that I have to achieve an average speed of 4.77 mph over a distance of 13.1 miles.  Needless to say, if I can stretch out the distance I can run it would be really nice to keep this kind of pace going, even if I can't stretch it to far having a higher pace that I can alternate with a slower one would also be nice.

Food today:  egg and cheese sandwiches for breakfast and lunch (300 calories each), snacks during the day included an orange slice, peanut butter, and a chocolate chip cookie at the theater (400 calories total), dinner was fish and chips at the Trinity Brewpub (1400 calories as a guess).  Exercise was the morning run, then a walk into downtown (650 and then 100 calories respectively).
