Just remembered I was supposed to have the Kick-off party for Team Challenge tonight. Got home, and was so exhausted I didn't really want to do anything and so crashed for a bit. Oh well, training starts for real on Saturday and I'm definitely going to that. I've set myself the goal of finishing this year's half-marathon in 2 hours and 45 minutes. That means cutting 25 minutes off my time from last year. A doable goal but still challenging as it requires an average speed of 4.76 mph. Or an average of a 12.5 minute mile. That's going to be challenging. On a treadmill I can go at that speed for an hour, but stretching it out to 3 hours in the real world seems a little bit tougher.
Food today: breakfast was a soudough egg and cheese sandwich (400 calories), turkey sandwich for lunch (500 calories) and dinner was salmon, noodles and green beans (1000 calories today). Snack was some peanut butter (100 calories). Exercise was a lunchtime walk (100 calories).
