Following up a low point day with a high point day always makes the goal seem a little more achievable. One consequence of eating extra food yesterday was that I simply didn't get as hungry as the day wore on today. That's not in any way a recipe for long term success, but I'm hoping that it is a sign that my general appetite might be decreasing. I did end up having a cookie today from a bake sale at work, but that had more to do with a sugar craving than hunger.
I've started doing a bit of strength training, using some free weights my old roommate left here as well as some other exercises recommended by an exercise book. I don't have any real way to estimate the calories, and for the moment it's still limited training so I'm not factoring it into my daily points. What I did notice that is promising for it as exercise, is that I find myself breathing heavier and having a faster heart rate after doing the training. Hopefully that means it's also burning some calories.
Food today was pretty standard: egg and cheese sandwich with milk (300 calories), turkey sandwich (500 calories), a Christmas sugar cookie for a snack (150 calories) and penne, sauce and garlic toast for dinner (900 calories). Exercise was 45 minutes on the treadmill for 3.5 miles (633 calories).
