Day 50

It's hard to believe that I'm 50 days into the diet.  Every time I hit one of the round numbers, whether days or points accrued, it surprises me how successful I've been.  It also hits me how much farther I have to go.  Honestly if you'd told me I'd have 65,000 points accrued by this point in the diet I would have scoffed.  As crazy as it seemed 50 days ago, I think there's a real chance I'm going to actually get to 200K.

So today I made a lasagna.  The most dangerous part of any meal like this one, which involves multiple stages and components is the risk of eating some of those components in the process.  My calorie estimates for the several meals I'm making out of this lasagna come from the total calories of the components as a whole, divided by the percentage of the lasagna I eat.  So even though today I ate some of the ground beef and cheese separately, the calories ended up included in the total count for the lasagna as a whole.  I've divided it into 8 pieces, and the whole lasagna has approximately 5600 calories.

Breakfast was an egg and cheese sandwich (300 calories).  Lunch was PB&J (600 calories).  Dinner was lasagna with garlic toast (I'm rounding up to 1000 calories total).  Snacks were just a few random peanuts (50 calories).  Exercise today was 45 minutes on the treadmill again (651 calories).

Today's Results:
Daily Food Total:  1950
Exercise:  651
Points Earned:  1701
Total Points Earned:  65980
Points to go:  134020
