Day 56

So as the game plays out I keep setting myself some non-calorie/non-weight related mid and long range goals for this diet.  I've thought of a few, but I'd love to hear any other suggestions people might have.  Here's a couple I've thought of:
  1. When my half-marathon training begins again in February I'd like to be able to keep up with the runners, for at least the first couple training sessions.
  2. When I walk into a gathering with people who haven't seen me since before the diet started (at least 3 different X-mas events as an example), I want them to say "oh my god Seth, you've lost so much weight!"
  3. I'd like to fit into a couple different shirts I have that became too tight after washing.
  4. When I go to the doctor for a physical in the next couple months, I want him to actually be impressed that I finally listened to him.
Some of them are technically weight-related, but the reward has little or nothing to do what the number on my scale is, and more to do with self-satisfaction.  If anyone else has some similar types of rewards I might expect to see if I keep this up, post them in the comments.

Food today:  egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast (300 calories), turkey sandwich for lunch (500 calories), snack was a cup of diced pears and a few peanuts here and there (100 calories), dinner was grilled sockeye salmon with whole wheat noodles and green beans (1000 calories).

Exercise was the traditional walk at lunch, and 45 minutes on the treadmill (100 and 656 calories respectively).

Today's Results:
Daily Food Total:  1900
Exercise:  756
Points Earned:  1856
Total Points Earned:  73997
Points to go:  126003
