Day 36, or Surviving Thanksgiving

Today was Thanksgiving, a day of giving thanks, being with family, and eating until you collapse.  Needless to say it could have been a bad day for me.  However, much to my surprise I seem to have passed the challenge without too much trouble.  Admittedly one of the big helps in terms of total food intake was simply the fact that I slept late.  Holding off breakfast until 10:30 meant I wasn't grabbing another meal before the afternoon dinner.  Then I had a couple servings at dinner, but avoided the worst offenders in terms of calories.  My worst "cheat" of the day was having a couple small pieces of pie, but since combined those only equaled one piece of pie on a "normal" day I think I did pretty well.

Breakfast was another egg and cheese sandwich with milk (300 calories).  No lunch, but I had some crackers and cheese as snacks before dinner (call it 200 calories worth).  For dinner I focused on turkey, with some mashed potatoes and a couple rolls.  I did get seconds on turkey, but not on the potatoes or bread.  Hard to judge the total calories but none of those items were particularly calorie intensive in the quantities eaten.  I'm going to say 1000 calories for the lot, but that may actually be a bit high.  Dessert was intensive though and I'm guessing about 550 calories for the pie.

Today's Results:
