Day 25 - 5 Guy's Cravings

Weigh-in result for the morning was 224 pounds.  A bit higher than I wanted, but still trending down.

Well today I had what was certainly one of the strongest cravings for cheating on my diet since I restarted it.  The last couple years I've had a semi-tradition.  When a new book in one of a few favorite series arrives, I take it out to 5 Guys with me and have a burger, too many fries and spend a while just sitting and reading.  When a new book arrived today, it was very hard to resist the temptation, particularly as I had to run out to the grocery store anyway (snow storm expected tomorrow night, needed my bread and milk).  I was able to overcome it, but I will admit that had more to do with not wanting to get soda there rather than wanting to stick to my diet.  I almost broke both challenges at once.  On the other hand, I did manage to overcome it so I guess we can count that a minor victory.

Food today:  egg and cheese (300 calories), turkey sandwich (500 calories), steak, noodles and green beans (1000 calories), and snacks was a small piece of birthday cake at work (200 calories).  Exercise was a lunchtime walk (100 calories).
